Kejimkujik Fun

As I have said multiple times already, I love summer. You get to do so many fun activities such as camping! The boyfriend and I spent the weekend with some friends at Kejimkujik National Park in Nova Scotia.  We left Friday evening once we were off work and headed out. We popped open a few drinks once we arrived and started setting up. The park is beautiful but the sites were all on top of one another and all you could hear a night was the man snoring in the trailer behind us.

After a night of drinks around the bonfire we got up early Saturday morning and headed to this little restaurant just down the road from the park. It was delicious however it did take awhile for the food to arrive, but you’re on vacation so what’s the big rush right? After breakfast we headed back to the site to pack a lunch for the day and headed out to Mill Falls for a picnic and to take in a bit of the scenery.

Beautiful isn’t it?

As the day got hotter we decided it was time to hit up the beach and go for a swim. Merrymakedge Beach was the first beach we went too and it wasn’t all that fantastic. It was super rocky and full of young kids. So we got back into the car and headed to Meadow Beach which was nice and sandy, much easier to play Frisbee in the water when you’re not tripping over rocks.

The long thing I didn’t like about the weekend is that it got super quiet at night by 11pm and was so easy to disturb the people around you when it’s that quiet. It’s not really a place for late nights around the fire. But all and all I had an amazing weekend and it is so nice to get away from the city for a few days.

Happy Monday!
