New Year's Resolutions


At the end of 2012 I did not feel like myself.  Every year has its ups and downs; however I felt I had been dealt the short end of the stick.  I was unmotivated and had been putting off doing the things that would make me happy because it wasn’t the right time, or it was an inconvenience for others.

I came to the decision that 2013 was going to be the year for change. I was determined to make sure that it was fantastic. That is when I came up with my New Year’s Resolutions.

Hils 2013 New Year’s Resolutions:

1.       Say “YES” more often.

a.       What I mean by this is to take every opportunity that comes my way.  Even if all I want to do is spend the evening in my pjs on the couch, if an opportunity arises to go out and socialize, I will go.

2.       Meet more people.

a.       Everyone feels a little lonely at one point or another. Whether it is when you move home from university and your friends are all still away, or if you move to a new city and your friends are all home.  You never know what great opportunities may arise from meeting and socializing with new people.

3.       Travel more.

a.       I have the need to travel and explore but for one reason or another, I was never able to do anything about that.  This year I plan on having a great time fixing that.

4.       Live Healthier.

a.       I won’t lie...I love junk food. I love both sweet and salty treats. Basically anything that is bad for you.  I don’t plan on dieting, because my goal is not to lose weight. It is to feel healthier. I plan on doing this by exercising and trying to eat healthier foods. We will see how  well that goes ;)
